This is a non-credit, gap-bridging course to the PMA 4CL cadets before the start of the academic year. It aims to fortify the basic foundations needed for a better understanding of Algebra. The course focuses on core pre-algebra and introductory algebra topics, including operations on signed numbers, laws of exponents, operations on polynomials, factoring techniques, and special products. The course also introduces operations on rational expressions and basic manipulation of radical expressions.

This serves as a preparatory program that aims to introduce cadets to essential reading and writing skills in preparation not only for their military academic training but also for the course in Composition. The course focuses on developing awareness of substance, organization, style, and correctness through close reading and sentence- and paragraph-level composition. It includes discussions on main ideas and supporting details, text structure and organization, and sentence and paragraph constructions.

Military Tactics and Basic Military Training (MS161)

Military Tactics is a six (6) unit course offered to the Fourth class cadets during the 3rd Term of every Academic Year. This course is also designed to equip the Fourth-Class Cadets with the foundational knowledge of the Individual Soldier Skills needed to perform roles and tasks as a member of a small unit. Unit 1 dwells on the overview of warfare and Warrior Ethos. Unit 2 dwells on movement, shoot, and communication skills. Unit 3 focuses on the skill of map reading.

Basic Cadet Training (MS131)

The Basic Cadet Training is an introductory course primarily designed for the newly reported cadets to adapt to the rigors of cadet training. The new cadets will learn the fundamentals of cadetship, military customs, traditions, drills, discipline and the CCAFP Regulations. It comprises Basic Cadet Training, Physical Training, and Resiliency Training which aid them as they transition from civilian to military life in the Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines.

The course introduces the concepts and principles of personal fitness and helps the Fourth class cadets gain an understanding on the importance of personal fitness to their success as a cadet. Science, Technology, and Environmental Studies (STE132)

Science, Technology, and the Environment is an interdisciplinary field that examines science and technology through the lens of non-technoscientific concepts, such as sociology, history, and philosophy. This three (3) unit course focuses on selected topics that explore the interplay between technoscience and society, particularly in relation to the role of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in societal development.

This is a three-unit core and introductory course that examines the principles, structures, and processes that shape global economic governance. Primarily reviews economic activities with a brief inventory of key topics from both microeconomics and macroeconomics. It covers key concepts in economic warfare and sanctions, the formation of economic blocks and alliances, and the basics of public financial management, to include military spending.

Sports Development 1 (SD122)

The course is designed for cadets to develop the fundamental skills and principles of swimming, gymnastics, and individual fitness.
The ten (10) sessions in Gymnastics is to develop agility, balance, coordination and speed as a necessary foundation and principle for athleticism. The course emphasizes body control, agility, and the development of functional movement patterns that contribute to overall military readiness, including overcoming obstacles, executing physical tasks under stress, and enhancing personal fitness.
The Individual Fitness with its ten (10) sessions is designed to develop a sense of self-responsibility for the cadets to improve their personal fitness and to have a lifetime commitment to maintain their physical fitness. It emphasizes basic human physiology concepts and the mechanisms by which the body adapts to and benefits from physical training.
The basic swimming has also ten (10) sessions designed to help the cadets acquire in-water experiences, and gradually develop them to be comfortable in the aquatic environment.

The course is a methodical and progressive physical fitness training. It is designed to identify the health condition of the cadets in the following aspects: cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and endurance and flexibility measured and assessed through the standard scale per class on which passing score on each event and grade equivalent varies higher from Fourthclass to Firstclass respectively.
The course is composed of the following components: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Physical Readiness Test (PRT) and Physical Ability Test (PABT). The test consists of standard scale in which the cadets are required to meet the minimum.

Conduct and Leadership Development 1 is a five (5) unit conduct course designed to develop the discipline and character of the cadets and to train them to live up to CCAFP standards. The course introduces and explains the CCAFP Regulations governing all aspects of cadet life. Through indoctrination, mentorship, reflection, and routine activities, cadets will internalize and practice the Academy's expectations of conduct and develop personal accountability as followers and members of the CCAFP. This course serves as the cornerstone of cadet discipline, ensuring every 4CL cadet understands and adheres to the rules and regulations that sustain the CCAFP as a model of character and military professionalism.

This three (3) unit introductory course enhances cadets' oral and written communication skills through comprehensive grammar, usage, and sentence effectiveness study. Cadets will gain proficiency in written and spoken English, refining skills in organization, substance, style, and correctness, which are crucial for effective communication across different contexts.

Analytic Geometry (MAT133)

Analytic Geometry, also known as coordinate geometry, is a three (3) unit course concerned with the properties of and relationships between points, lines, planes, and figures with generalizations of the concepts of second-order curves and surfaces (circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola). It is the study of geometry using a coordinate system and the principles of algebra and analysis. The course also includes curve tracing and an introduction to space coordinates and simple surfaces as a prelude to elementary calculus. Mathematical modeling based on real-life situations is also integrated and introduced.

Fundamentals of Security Studies is a three (3) unit introductory course that presents an overview of the terms, concepts, theoretical foundations, and dynamic landscape concerning security. The course intends to examine current and future security concerns through various “lenses” as it offers differing perspectives on contemporary security affairs. It will emphasize on the key theoretical frameworks and the notion of “securitization”. Topics range from the traditional dimensions of security such as war and threats to the “nontraditional" security concerns such as cybersecurity, environment, pandemic, etc. Upon completion, the students will have the foundational understanding of security as it concerns the Philippine context and the international arena.

The course is the progression of swimming and the introduction of combatives (boxing and wushu).
Swimming with 10 sessions in this course is the continuation of fundamental swimming that focuses on the proficiency of breaststroke.
Boxing (10 sessions) intensifies quick reaction, coordination, accurate timing, judgment, aggressiveness, and determination.
Wushu is designed to introduce practical self-defense techniques (sanda) to enhance agility, strength, and coordination.
Instructional coursework also includes participation of every cadet in competitive sports such as Intramurals and Corps Squad Involvement representing the Academy.

This course also prepares the 4CL cadets to assume the roles, duties and responsibilities of a 3CL cadet. This three (3) unit intermediate course examines the fundamental values and principles of the warrior ethos, tracing their origins from ancient Greece and Rome to modern military ethics. Cadets will explore the moral boundaries that define the profession of arms, assessing when the use of force is permissible and the ethical limits governing its application. Through the study of historical warrior cultures, case analyses, and contemporary ethical discourse, students will develop critical self-awareness and the skills necessary for meaningful dialogue on ethical issues relevant to both military and civilian contexts.

Differential Calculus is fundamental to progressive symbolic logic. Specifically, MAT231 covers the basic concepts of limits which is the foundation of derivatives, the differentiation rules as applied to algebraic and transcendental functions, and the applications of derivatives in simulated and real-life scenarios. The lessons in the course will provide the cadets' definitions, theories, and axioms that will engage each learner to appreciate the power of mathematics through logic and analysis that propel higher-order thinking skills; problem-solving that will improve their manipulative and reasoning skills, and strategies and methodology that will build an attitude, character, habits and values befitting a soldier in the field.

This course is a three (3) unit subject presenting to the cadets the fundamentals of law, specifically the laws pertaining to the state and its relationship with its citizens, basic criminal laws, and the military justice system. As well, it includes a study of laws, relevant to the cadet training and discipline. This course fills the gap existing between cadet knowledge of the PMA systems (CCAFP, Honor System, CCPB) the AFP Military Justice System, relevant national laws (Civilian Supremacy Law, Anti Hazing Law, Anti Sexual Harassment Act, Anti Torture Law) and the Constitutional precepts of due process.

Geographic Information Systems is a three (3) unit course that introduces key concepts and components of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), its importance, and its applications in the military. Cadets will also learn the skills needed to operate a GIS application. This will equip them with the essential knowledge of their role as buddies, team leaders, and soon-to-be squad leaders of the cadet corps. The course covers topics on self-mastery and introduces topics on small-unit leadership.

This course also prepares them to assume the roles, duties, and responsibilities as a direct buddy to fourth class cadets. Relatively, the general concept of the course is based on the Be-Know-Do model of Leadership from the viewpoint of a 3CL cadet as a buddy to a 4CL cadet.

Soldier Team Development is a six (6) unit course offered to the Third class cadets during the 3rd Term of every Academic Year.
The course is divided into three modules namely; Army Module, Airforce Module, and Navy Module. Airforce Module focuses on skills in Air to Ground Operations; the Navy module focuses on skills in water survival; and, the Army module focuses on the move, shoot, and communication skills of a soldier. The course is also designed to foster camaraderie and teamwork and to develop the physical fitness of the 3rd Class Cadets.

This three (3) unit course is being offered to Second class Aerocadets to equip them with introductory knowledge on the air force, and specifically PAF as one of the Major Services - how it emerged as one branch of service. Further, emerging modern air warfare will also be introduced in this course to equip cadets with necessary SKA as future PAF Officers.

Further, it introduces the students to the parlance of the Philippine Navy to include its various peculiarities as a branch of the AFP.

This course aims to analyze organizational change through a complex and diverse amalgamation of theories, concepts, and data. This Course covers the evolution of military thoughts from ancient to modern period. This is an interdisciplinary study delving into the realm of other disciplines such as history, geography, economics, political science, psychology and sociology. The Course is concerned with the analysis of the contributions of military thinkers from the different ages to the field of military strategy especially in the evaluation of political, economic, social, cultural and military aspects of warfare especially on the elements of Combat Power. It also deals with the nature of war (total or limited), conventional and unconventional warfare, terrorism and anti- terrorism, as well as the modes and patterns of strategy that have evolved and are presently developing. Small Unit Tactics (SUT) is a six (6) unit course offered to the 2nd Class Army Cadets during their 3rd Term of the Academic Year. SUT is a training program designed to develop their combat skill, small unit leadership and instructor competency in preparation for their leadership role in the CCAFP and eventually in the Philippine Army. SUT incorporates both the training programs of the Scout Ranger Orientation Course (SROC) offered by FSRR, PA and the Instructor Development Training (IDT) offered by TRADOC, PA. The said programs are delineated as separate modules of the course and facilitated by respective units.The SROC module is designed to develop confident and combat-effective warriors. It aims to equip the students with the basic knowledge and skills of warfighting tactics and small-unit leadership.
On the other hand, the IDT module aims to equip the students or Candidate Instructors with the necessary knowledge, skill and attitude needed to become competent basic instructors.

It is global in scope, including not only the more familiar battles in Western Civilization but also the pivotal ones in some parts of Asia. Furthermore, this course specifically delves on the evolution of warfare, blunders of war, decisive battles and the most enduring lessons in military history.

Platoon Leaders Course is a three (3) unit course offered to the 1st Class Army Cadets during the 1st term of every Academic Year. This course is divided into three units: Unit 1 - The Infantry Platoon, the basic unit that 2nd lieutenants will be leading after graduation. From this unit, the Army Cadets will be able to learn the basics of an Infantry Platoon; its mission, organization, capabilities and how it prepares for its mission. Unit 2 - Infantry Operation. Battle drills and Platoon TTPs in several scenarios will be discussed in this unit. Lastly, Unit 3 - Army Platoon Leadership in which lessons learned and situations that happened in the field are given to the Army Cadets for them to dissect and gather useful habits that they can practice in the future.

Philippine Military History traces the development of the Armed Forces of the Philippines from the colonial era through the present day. It deals with the changes and continuities in various facets of Philippine military history such as civil-military relations; in doctrine, strategy, tactics, technologies, and operations; and in the experience of soldiering, in combat and behind the lines, in wartime and peacetime. The course allows the cadets to examine character and behavior of the armed forces, its role in both domestic and international armed conflict, and its impact on the Philippine security environment. The course contextualizes the Philippine military experience within larger historical frameworks — social, cultural, political, economic, and technological. Cadets will emerge from the course with a good general understanding of the historical development of the Armed Forces with a mature intellect and inspiration to lead, to achieve results in both training and in combat.

The Officer Preparatory Course is a six (6) unit course composed of two (2) modules offered to the First Class Army Cadets. The course is designed to enable the First Class Army Cadets to master the Mission Planning Process; and, equip them with the knowledge and skills in Rifle and Pistol Combat Marksmanship, Tactical Combat Casualty Care, Close Quarter Battle, and Military Operations in Urban Terrain. Module 1 is a practical exercise applying the concepts of the military planning process. Module 2 provides progressive training in the conduct of urban operations.
