LIEUTENANT GENERAL MICHAEL G LOGICO assumed his post as the 86th Superintendent of the Philippine Military Academy on 22 July 2026. Among his notable duties are the 61st Commander of the Training Command (TRACOM), Philippine Army on 29 October 2025, Deputy Commander, Training Command (TRACOM); Director of the Joint and Combined Training Center, AFP Education, Training and Doctrine Command; Executive Agent in the annual conduct of the AFP Joint Exercise “DAGITPA” (Dagat, Langit at Lupa) and PH-US Exercise Balikatan; Director of the AFP Wargaming Center, AFPCGSC, and Commanding Officer of 66th Infantry Battalion, 10th Infantry (AGILA) Division, Philippine Army based in New Bataan, Compostela Valley Province, Mindanao.
His military journey started in 1993 as a team leader of the 18th Special Forces Company and later Company Commander of 12th Special Forces Company of the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), Philippine Army.
He is a proud member of the Philippine Military Academy “MAALAB” Class of 1993. He took up numerous military Courses, both local & abroad, such as the Special Forces Operation Course, Basic Airborne Course, Infantry Officer Basic Course, UN Staff Officers & Police Officers Training Course at the Ukraine National Defense Academy, Command & Staff Operation Course, and Command & General Staff Course.
LTGEN LOGICO is a seasoned and well-decorated officer. He is a recipient of numerous awards and decorations, such as Distinguished Service Star, Gold Cross Medal, Bronze Cross Medal, Parangal sa Kapanalig ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas Medal & Ribbon, Military Merit Medal, Military Civic Action Medal, Military Commendation Medals and other commendations, Certificate of Recognition and appreciation from both military and civilian authorities.
Aside from military courses, LTGEN LOGICO finished several civilian schoolings, such as the Master's Degree in National Security Administration (MNSA) from the National Defense College of the Philippines and Master in Public Management (MPM) from the Ateneo de Manila University.
He was born on 09 October 1971 in Pasay City. He is happily married to Ms. Ma. Joy Vineza-Logico and they are blessed with a daughter, Alexa.
